HISTORY
It began and was in Quezon City on July 26,1982 when Parliamentary Bill No. 1455 was passed establishing a National Vocational High School in the town of Guiguinto, which will be known as GUIGUINTO NATIONAL VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL.
The act contained three sections. It was approved by Querube C. Makalintal on April 14, 1983. This time, it was the Batasang Pambansa BLg. 444 as followed up by Antonio M. De Guzman which later given cognizance and approved by former president Ferdinand E. Marcos on June 10, 1983.
Because of his earnest desire to help people to have its own trade school, Mayor Pagasa “Boy” Estrella sought the assistance of then Assemblyman Teodolo Natividad and Blas F. Ople. In the year of 1984, these two famous figure sponsored the bill for the opening of Guiguinto National Vocational High School.
The dream came into reality when GNVHS formally opened its doors to aspiring youth in trade education in the year 1985-1986.
The school was first housed in the Gabaldon Building of Guiguinto Central School through the permission of the school principal, Ms. Araceli B. Villanueva. And it started with six teachers, three staff and principal; through the years, the school gradually increase its enrolment from 175 since S.Y. 1985-1986 to 1055 last S.Y. 2002-2003. The novel achievement were the products of the collective efforts of the school administration, supportive staff and responsible teachers.
In 1988, the school was able to purchase a portion of lot with an area of 4,789 sq. meters adjacent to the Municipality of Guiguinto. In 1990, one storey building (the Vocational Dept. Building) was constructed under the administration of the principal then, Mr. Ruben L. Romano, and the transfer to a new site was then allowed, followed by the construction of the two-storey building constructed under the DPWH. In 1992, half of the two-storey building (the Academic Dept. Building) and the building were constructed under the administration of the principal then, Mr. Lorenzo Dionisio. In 1994, the school was recipient of the school building with 2 classrooms (beside the guard house) donated by the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the formal turnover was held at school compound in March 1994. In 1995, one classroom was donated by Cong. Pedro Pancho adjacent to two classroom donated by the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry beside the stage. The principal then was Mr. Reynaldo C. Cruz. In 1998, additional two rooms were constructed adjacent to the two-storey academic building under the administration of Mr. Alex Angeles, the school was then under TESDA. Another two-storey building with four classrooms was constructed in the

year 2002 under the administration of Mr. Antonio A. Castro.

For about four (4) months of making GNVHS as a training ground, I describe Guiguinto National Vocational High School as a great school. From administration up to the faculty, personnel and students heart-warming welcome.
As a student teacher, I observe students who follow rules and regulation in throwing bottles. They make a basketball like cage for the bottles for proper segregation. The guards that give security to the students, checking every person who enters school premises, personnel that made the community neat and free from danger and lastly, great faculty that share their ideas and skills in teaching that molds us student teacher to be a better teacher someday.
The GNVHS community were friendly. It is adjacent to the Municipal Hall of Guiguinto. In terms of location; it is accessible from the students who travel when going to school. Their facilities can accommodate big numbers of students. The shops for technical education are also equipped with right numbers of machines and technologies. They have a covered court that serves as a training ground for different sports and events. Also, the GMACC if there’s a lager event like intramurals, pageants and school-related events. School canteen serves cheap but quality foods, staffs are approachable and seat are comfortable enough.
I must say that the Guiguinto National Vocational High School is a great school community that have the potential to make students learned and wants to know more about education.
